Coast Guard personnel demonstrate how beneficial having a VHF radio can be through a reenactment of a boater in distress contacting the Coast guard for help. VHF radios, along with life jackets and EPIRBs, can help save your life while boating. Are Florida people aware that marine radios are not mandatory in Florida. Why is that? How safe are you in the water? In Florida not safe…We need stronger boating laws…make radio’s mandatory
